The pepper and nutmeg provide a sharp, aromatic spice that defines the opening. Cedarwood adds a dry, resinous woodiness while amber contributes a warm, slightly sweet glow in the heart. Incense introduces a smoky, resinous depth and labdanum supplies a leathery, balsamic finish in the dry‑down.
